Guilherme Espindola-Winck received his degree in Control and Automation Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil, and his Master’s degree in Signal Processing and Dynamic Systems from Polytech Angers, the engineering school of the University of Angers, France. He obtained his Ph.D. in Automatic Control from the University of Angers, France. He is currently an Associate Professor at Ecole Centrale de Lille and a researcher within the UMR CNRS CRIStAL at the University of Lille, France.
His main research interests include idempotent semirings and their applications to Discrete Event Systems (CT SED), with a particular focus on stochastic and set-membership estimation.
