Short Bio
Guilherme Espindola-Winck received his degree in Control and Automation Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil, and his Master’s degree in Signal Processing and Dynamic Systems from Polytech Angers, the engineering school of the University of Angers, France. He obtained his Ph.D. in Automatic Control from the University of Angers, France. He is currently an Associate Professor at Ecole Centrale de Lille and a researcher within the UMR CNRS CRIStAL at the University of Lille, France.
His research interests include idempotent semirings and their applications to Discrete Event Systems (CT SED), with a focus on stochastic and set-membership estimation.
He is also interested in parametric curve-based state-space representation approaches for the control of robotic systems, including cooperative and synchronized control of fleets of autonomous robots and shape control of soft-continuum manipulators.
